Oct. 2011 - Still hustling. Again prepping for the "Thriller Dance" on C-street. Last year we made up over 100 people and hoping to double it this year. Revamping our Make-up FX catalog and some of the How-to manuals. Remodeling our shop and traveling doing fireworks shows all over the Us. Talk soon...
July 2011 - Sorry still pretty busy, thats great. We wrapped 2 feature films so far & prepping for another one. We wrapped creating alot of Gore fx for the film "You're Next" with Actors Rob Moran, Barbara Crampton, Aj Bowen & alot more... Great cast & alot of work. Most recently we wrapped filming on the feature "The Aggression Scale" in upstate New York. Fun FX & cast like Dana Askbrook, Ray Wise & Derek Mears, what a great cast & crew. We have some concerts to cover for the Nwe kids on the block / Back street boys concerts, completed some 30 zombie make-ups for The C-street zombie dance Corpse, to benefit the fight against breast cancer at the Springfield Cardinals stadium. C-you next time!
April 2010 - Just wrapped the FX make-up & rigging for a Horrible way to die in Columbia Missouri. Been again busy working. Signed on to create the few SPFX & be the Prop master for feature "180" starring Ben "Coach" Wade of Survivor fame. More to come soon.
Feb. 2010 - Hello for a new year. After last year being slow this year has really taken off & we have been busy steadily since the first of the year. We just finished a film shoot in Conway Arkansas. Called the Color of Blood a period piece with an all African American Cast including Lance Nichols (The preacher in Benjamin Button movie). We created a shot gun blast to the door ,Splatter rig "shot gun blasts" to multiple actors. Set up & executed a jerkvest "shot gun blast" on a stuntman as well as some pryo shots with the shot gun. Again busy & we are happy, tired but happy. SOON we will be opening back up out FCFX Costume & Make-up shop for retal as well a workshops. We are hoping to have the shop reopened by late spring or early summer 2010

Sept. 2009 - Back again for a moment. Again busy, busy, busy! Just returned from shooting all of the principle photography "Special Effects & Stunt rigging" for AFK AKA - "Away from keyboard". We created make-up FX as far as a scalp peeled back & evil minnion make-ups. I also want to welcome Brooke Thompson to the FCFX family as our newest make-up artist. In the bast few weeks we had just returned from LA & our work on the movie "No more games" where we worked with Roger Matsuo & the Special Effects Solutions crew. We blew up a mobile home, did bullet hits on Tom Arnold & Shawnee Smith & flipped a police car. Prepping for more projects right now, as well as organizing our rental props "Coming soon"!
May 2009 - Hey all, Sorry it has been quite a while since we last posted, been busy. Anyway all is well in FCFX land & we are still busy as always. Just did a car explosion & you can view it here on youtube, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qb9N5ukY3AU. As well we have just wrapped up principle photography on "The Farm" a twist on the Zombie genre. In the fall of 2008 we worked on Saving Grace worked with the LA based FX company FX Concepts headed by Lou Carlucci & created "Rain" & I mean alot of it, for 5 weeks up in Booneville, MO for Connie Stevens - Director. After that we created more rain as well as a broken heel gag & a blown radiator hose for some commericals for the St. Louis based "Lumiere Casinos", the production company was based out of NewYork. We also created all of the make-up & FX for a Zombie short called "Dead of the Dead" written & produced by our good friend & stuntman Ryan Sheilds. More to come as well as pictures, enjoy! FXMike...
March 2008 - There is an article in Fangoria Magazine about the movie "Albino Farm" that I worked on & played a monster in, "online" @ http://www.fangoria.com/news_article.php?id=6138 , it also has a pic of me being prepped as Smach face the caracter I played in the movie.

Jan. 2008 - Back up in Michigan creating horror FX for the Movie Charlie (more to come), as well check out 76 Pyro magazine for our upcoming articles on "Pyro in the movies", as we will be contributing every few months an article about movie pyro as well as interviews with other pyrotechnicians..
Jan. 2008 - Last year flew by as we were very busy creating a variety of special effects , make-ups & Pyrotechnics for movis & television shows alike. We created fire fx as well as explosions for Albino farm the movie, not to mention Mike strain our fearless leader played "Smash face" one of the main title monsters. We also did "80"squib bullet hits for the movie The Sky has fallen and finished up FX for the Dead shall rise. Worked with the great FX Guys Lou Carlucci & Donn Markel in creating rain FX anong other fx for the motion picture "Saving Grace B. Jones" . A week after doing 5 weeks of rain we were called in to again make it rain for a casino commerical in St. louis as well as a break away heel gag & busted radiator steam. To finish off the year we recreated the caveman make-up on our buddy Aaron Buerge (the Bachelor - season 2) for halloween & again decorated WOW - Wonders of wildlife for the KGBX "Howl-o-ween " Bash. Man we had fun & were starting it all over again in 2008. This year looks even more promising as the state of Missouri uped it's tax credit, so more movies to the state. Until next time, Chao!

May 2007 - Dead shall rise is underway & the make-ups & FX really are turning out very well & the contacts make the eyes pop. Mike Strain Jr & FCFX has also been working on Albino Farm doing life casts for the monster/creature make-ups. FCFX will also execute some PYRO fx for ABF. Mike Strain Jr. & FCFX are also creating the "puffy eye prosthetics" for the motion picture Never Submit. More to come!
March 2007 - FCFX is continuing to create the wild FX & Make-ups for the forth coming "Dead Shall Rise" Zombie flick. Produced by Darst Productions & Oaktre Studios.

Feb. 2007 - FCFX bid a horror movie in Kansas City to create the make-ups (creature FX) as well as the Physical & Pyrotechnics FX. As well FCFX Has also been contacted by another production company to create some Pyrotechnics FX & some additional make-up FX for another horror production coming to Missouri.
Jan. 2007 - Starting off a good year, as by the 5th day of the new year we have been contacted about creating FX for 2 new movies coming to Missouri so far this year. More to come!
Dec. 2006 - Well, if you lookin for the zombie pics, it's gonna be a little longer as the production has been put on hold until spring '07, because of multi-events. Still working on the production in Michigan. Man this year has been a great but crazy time. I worked on 5 feature productions this year alone, not to mention the other projects we worked or helped with. Well off to the shop & we will see ya next year! FCFX!
